Stripe TLS Update

Stripe is dropping support for older versions of security protocols TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and SHA-1 which are insecure and have been updated to TLS 1.2.

Charge 2 is compatible with TLS 1.2.

Your web server must be capable of running PHP 5.3 or newer to support this update. If your web server is running PHP 5.2 or older, Stripe/Charge will stop working on your site as of January 1st, 2017.

To be compatible with the TLS 1.2 update, you will need to install Charge 2.0 or greater.

Charge 2.0 includes a new "Stripe Verification" section on the "Settings" page that allows you to test the connection to Stripe and will report whether you're server is TLS 1.2 compatible.

If Charge reports your TLS 1.2 as "Incompatible", you will have to contact your hosting provider an upgrade the version of OpenSSL running on your server. EEHarbor is not able to help with upgrading OpenSSL on your server.
